My Process
Five steps. One pair of hands.
No sales team, no subcontractors — the person you talk to on day one is the person laying your floor. Here's how a project with Herringbone Hill runs.
Consult
We start with a conversation — on site or over the phone — about your space, your household and how you want the finished floor to look and feel. I'll measure up, look at light and layout, and answer every question you have.
Recommend & Quote
Drawing on 15 years of experience, I recommend the timber species, pattern and finish that suit your home and budget — with real samples you can see in your own light. You'll receive a clear, itemised quote with no hidden extras.
Source
I source your flooring from trusted suppliers whose grading, milling and sustainability meet my standards — then personally check every board for grade and consistency, and let the timber acclimatise on site before a single board is laid.
Install
I lay, sand and finish your floor myself — precise cuts, tight joins and a finish I'd happily walk on in my own home. The site is kept tidy, timelines are honoured, and you're kept informed at every stage.
Care
Before I leave, I walk you through simple, practical care for your new floor — and if you'd like, we can set up a scheduled maintenance plan so it keeps looking its best for decades.
"One person, start to finish. That's not a limitation — it's the whole point."
